But being a teacher / educator can be quite stressful and finding time to do your own regular practice to centre and ground can be challenging especially when you also have your own family to manage and look after outside your working hours, not to mention the additional work that you need to complete after school hours.

Namaste Yogis has developed a yoga-based program that can be easily integrated into your daily life. It focuses on making small 1% daily improvements in your life that helps manage your emotional and mental health and wellbeing, which compounds overall, helping you feel calm, centred and grounded.

This program can be delivered at your workplace during staff meetings or curriculum days. The program is inspired by our kids yoga programs, which means that learnings can also be applied in the classrooms, with teacher modelling. Expect plenty of fun and laughter as we learn various yoga and mindfulness tools. Expect self-reflection activities, slow and gentle yoga poses and activities suitable for beginners, finishing up with a well-deserved relaxation.

Sure, they might offer a yoga class in the office, or online for those who work from home, but wouldn’t you rather hang the laundry or wash the dishes instead of doing a class for 30 – 45 minutes during your break? Or maybe pick up a few groceries, to relieve some pressure from your home life? Office yoga is great! It’s how I got introduced to yoga myself. You feel fantastic during the class, then you have to help put the room back to how it was (because it’s a conference room) rush off and get changed back into your office clothes, buy or heat up your lunch, get back to your desk to eat your lunch quickly while you work or maybe dial in to that important meeting. As you see, it doesn’t take long for the calming effects of yoga to wear off.

That is why Namaste Yogis have created a program that can be integrated into your daily routine. Our program is based on the foundations of yoga, but it is light on yoga poses. It focuses on making small 1% daily improvements in your day that can take as little as 5 minutes and still help manage your emotional and mental health and wellbeing. It’s about stacking small and impactful habits that can help you feel calm, centred, grounded, focussed and creative!

This program can be delivered at your workplace and is inspired by our kid’s yoga programs, which means plenty of fun and laughter as we learn various yoga and mindfulness tools. Expect self-reflection activities, slow and gentle yoga poses and activities suitable for beginners, finishing up with a well-deserved relaxation.

But if you still want a 30- or 45-minutes yoga session for your staff during lunchtimes, we could do that too! Namaste Yogis instructors are all qualified adult yoga teachers, but we ask that you provide your staff extra time to get settled back into their desk or to eat their lunch!

For educators and teachers, in addition to the above, having a regulated nervous system means they are more present and tuned in with the children’s needs, able to respond (instead of react) calmly to any situation, allow space for creativity and not go home exhausted and depleted. The result is also a happier and healthier workplace.

Perhaps you want your employees to bring their children into the workplace – then a kids or family yoga event may be just what you’re looking for! Imagine having fun while doing yoga poses individually, in partners or in groups, or doing breathing and mindfulness exercises together. The key word here is “fun” – having fun while doing yoga and learning tools that help you manage your wellbeing. And because it’s delivered in an engaging way, chances are participants (kids or adults) will remember what they learnt!

Not keen on inviting the children into the workplace? Namaste Yogis can still create a bespoke session for you and your employees. We can also incorporate some sound healing to help with relaxation.

All yoga sessions and workshops, whether based on a kids yoga or adults yoga format always ends in a well-deserved relaxation, where it’s ok to fall asleep.
