Founder and Director

Namaste Yogis Pty Ltd

My childhood was very difficult. This had lasting mental and emotional effects on me until adulthood. I had extremely low self-esteem, low self-worth and limiting self-beliefs. I didn’t know how to love myself or how to be kind to myself – I was at war with myself. I didn’t know who I truly was and didn’t know what I wanted in life. I did what was expected. I didn’t know how to manage my emotions, mood and anxiety. I was constantly in “fight or flight” mode. It wasn’t until in my mid-30s that I discovered yoga and meditation. It was through this, along with holistic counselling, that I started my lifelong journey of healing. I was finally able to connect with my true self and transform my life. I was finally free!

My mission in this life is to help children learn how to love and be kind to themselves so that no child ever goes through what I went through.

I established Namaste Yogis in 2017 after experiencing the healing and transformational benefits of yoga, journaling, and meditation. As a mother, I wanted to make sure that my children and the children of the world grow up knowing how to treat themselves with love and kindness, so that they may learn to treat others and the world, with love and kindness.

Since then, I have had the pleasure of teaching more than 3000 kids’ yoga classes across Early Learning Centres, Sessional Kindergartens, Primary and Secondary Schools!

My aim is to reach as many children as I can across the world. Namaste Yogis also runs Yoga and Mindfulness Professional Development (PD) courses and workshops for Educators in Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary schools. These courses have been based on my personal experience and extensive professional experience teaching yoga to thousands of children.

I am a Registered Adult and Children’s Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (E-RYT 200, RCYT) and a qualified Yoga Therapist.

I love teaching yoga to children – it’s an expression of myself that I’ve held in for so long!

I completed my Yoga Teacher Training with Western Wellness, Yoga Therapy Institute, Zenergy Yoga and Asanas for Autism and Special Needs.

Loving Thoughts, Loving Words, I am Love ❤️

Mission

At Namaste Yogis, our mission is to help children develop a better relationship with themselves so that they can have a better relationship with others. Through yoga and mindfulness, we guide children on how to treat themselves with love and kindness, so that they may treat others and the world, with love and kindness.

Vision

We believe we can make the world a better place by starting with ourselves – our thoughts, words and actions –  “Loving thoughts, Loving Words, Be Love”.

Core Values

Love – each child deserves unconditional love from themselves and their family.

Respect – each child deserves to be respected for their authentic self.

Be heard and listened to – each child deserves to be heard and listened to, so that they may learn to listen to their heart.

We Believe

It starts with us, whether you’re an adult or a child.

Our family has a significant impact on how we see ourselves and the world.

By teaching children and parents how to love themselves, we have the opportunity to change the world.

We do this by teaching yoga to children and families. Yoga helps children and families manage their stress and anxiety, helping them become more grounded, centred, instilling a sense of calmness, cultivating resilience and self-confidence. They learn the importance of prioritising their physical, emotional and mental health. Through this process children learn to treat themselves and the world with love and kindness.
