At Namaste Yogis, our aim is to help you relax the body, find a balance between strength and ease, and quieten the mind to find stillness and peace.

A regular practice of yoga helps enhance flexibility, strength and coordination, improve energy and vitality, maintain a balanced metabolism, improve cardio and circulatory health and protect from injuries.

We are passionate about sharing the gift of yoga and helping you apply what you learn on the mat, off the mat.

Our adult yoga classes are based on Hatha Yoga with Vinyasa influence. Each pose is linked through the breath while at the same time ensuring the integrity of the alignment is maintained​.

Each class contains a balance of standing, balancing, twisting, forward and back bending poses. Our adult classes run for 60 minutes and consist of asanas (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing practices) and savasana (relaxation). The aim is to help students apply what they learn on the yoga mat, off the mat.

Our style is suitable for all levels (beginners and intermediate).

Yoga for Educators

Being an educator can be quite stressful. The more we look after our own physical and mental wellbeing, the more we are able to give to the beautiful children under our care. As they say – “you can’t give from an empty cup”.

So why not show your appreciation to your hard-working educators by rewarding them with a relaxing yoga class? Classes can be held in the centre – at the end of the day or during staff meetings. Smaller classes can also be held at shorter intervals during the day to ensure your educator / child ratio is maintained at all times. For example, 3 x 15 mins classes during lunch breaks.

Yoga classes can also be used to help with team bonding. Where this is the aim, the class will involve fun partner and group yoga poses. Expect plenty of fun and laughter, finishing up with a well-deserved relaxation.

Corporate Yoga

Yoga is the perfect practice to include in your workplace’s employee wellbeing program. If there is one thing that COVID has taught is, it’s the importance of learning techniques to manage our stress and anxiety. Our level of stress can weaken our immune system, making us susceptible to illnesses. Stress can also slow down our recovery. It can also worsen existing mental health issues.

With many of us working from home, we lose the transition period from home to work or work to home, which is essential in either helping us mentally prepare for work and slow down at the end of that day so that we can be more present with our family. As we work from home, we are faced with the struggle to maintain balance between work and home life. Some of us may also work longer hours as the boundaries of a typical office working hours start to get blurry.

We may also be spending more time sitting down in front of the computer or on video calls, with less opportunities to stand up and walk around to our co-worker’s desks. We may also be working in a non-ergonomic environment, which can have long term detrimental effects on our spine.

Yoga is a good practice to help find stillness and be in the present moment. This can help improve focus and assist with decision making. Yoga can help us view things in perspective and help us adapt to change more easily and deal with uncertainties. Yoga can also help us sit more mindfully so that we are not sacrificing our posture. Your employees will learn techniques that they can incorporate outside of the yoga class for the rest of their life. The result is a happier and healthier workplace, which can translate to better performance and results for the company.
